Great Opportunities to Help

[19 Jun 2008 | 272 views | Print This Post | Email This Post ]

Good afternoon everyone.

One member of our shul has yahrtzeit for his mother tonight and tomorrow, while another just got up from shiva. Both must have a minyan, and only our participation can ensure that they will. Attending shul when our friend is in need is the highest form of Gemilus Chassadim (Acts of Kindness), for there is no way one man can count as ten. By belonging to a shul and community we affirm our duty to be there for others, and others to be there for us.

Mincha/Maariv tonight is 8:20 PM and Shacharis tomorrow is 6:40 AM. In addition, please consider making a daily commitment to the minyan, one or more days per week. We have an awesome congregation, and this will only strengthen an already great, great thing!
