We’re Moving

Dear Friends

 If you weren’t present at services Shabbos morning, then you missed the BIG news! For the past several months, our dedicated building committee has vigorously been researching, planning, and wrangling with architects and builders toward a single goal: a permanent home for our growing congregation. Last week we reached a major milestone – our architects presented us with the initial blueprints for our new home.

This gorgeous new facility will include

  • A women’s balcony
  • Ample space for childcare and play
  • The North Eruv’s only men’s mikveh
  • A large, fully stocked Beis Medrash

Another amazing fact – based upon our builder’s initial cost estimates (which will be publicized soon on the CTC website), the necessary fundraising will be modest in comparison to average synagogue construction costs across the country. This means that we can realistically fundraise most, if not all, of the entire building costs.

As mentioned Shabbos morning, a number of changes must occur very quickly over the next few months to reduce the shul’s expenses and conserve its assets.  These measures will keep us on track toward moving into our new home by the end of this year.

Starting with Shacharis, Thursday, February 3rd, the Congregation will move into the home of Rabbi Yaakov & Rebbetzin Susan Rich, 7119 Bremerton Ct., Dallas, TX 75252.  All prayer services and shiurim will continue as scheduled at the Rich home, with some minor changes here and there. Please watch for more detailed updates later in the week.

As we take this next, great step, the Executive Board, Rabbi, and entire congregation would like to extend a special thanks and acknowledgement to the Abrams family for all that they have done for the Shul.  Since our inception, Shira and Shalom Abrams have generously allowed the Shul to rent one of their properties, giving us priority treatment and special benefits throughout the term of our lease.

With gratitude to Hashem, and with much excitement and anticipation, we look forward to this next phase of growth for our shul.
