Experience an inspiring evening full of insights, song and of course a full gourmet Passover Seder meal.

Congregation Toras Chaim will hold the 2010 CTC Community Pesach Seder, Monday, March 28 at 8:45 PM, in the shul, catered by our own Ehoud Wilson, and conducted by Rabbi Yaakov Rich.

Prices: Adults $50 and Children (under 7) $25. Participants must provide their own wine and shmura matzoh for the seder.

Maariv followed by Megillas Esther (with the unbelievably talented Eric Schramm who will play Achashverosh, Haman, Mordechai, Esther, and the rest of the gang as he relives the entire Purim story through his very amusing reading) - 8:00 PM
Havdallah at home. There is a custom to have a seudas mitzvah at night, in addition to the main Purim feast the following day.

Remember the four mitzvos of Purim day:

Matanos L’Evyonim: Charity is sent to at least two different needy people (Money may be given to the rabbi for distribution on Purim)

Mishloach Manos: Each Jew over the age of bar mitzvah or bat mitzvah must send two different, ready made foods to at least one friend

Seudas Purim: Toward evening, a festive meal called Seudas Purim is held, often with wine as the prominent beverage

Megillas Esther: Each Jew over the age of bar mitzvah or bat mitzvah must hear Megillas Esther read at night and during the day

2010 Pesach Romanian Kosher Salami Sale

Romanian in Chicago – a real old world deli – makes all of their meats on premises. This is not a mass-market production. It is 100% pure quality! The best meat is always worth the price, especially when you think about the alternatives from major grocery chains.

Our Romanian salamis are being sold by pre-order only. We will be placing our order Tuesday, March 9, 2010. These salamis are not available anywhere else outside of Chicago. You can only get them at Congregation Toras Chaim. Available are the 4lb Romainian salamis — on sale for $10 per pound which translates to $40 per salami.

These salamis are Glatt Kosher under the supervision of the OU, and are kosher for Passover. They are perfect for a snack, to spice up the Shabbos table, and they make a great gift.

Salami pickup, date and time TBA. But, it will be before Pesach.
