CTC SEED, Davening and Construction Update

Welcome To Dallas
Well, we were able to welcome our SEED participants to Dallas and Congregation Toras Chaim, even if it was at 2:45 AM (flight delays in NY–two got stuck in Atlanta overnight). Nevertheless, everyone was up and awake for Shacharis, where seven CTC men and five SEED young men participated. It was inspiring to say the least, and definitely began the SEED program on the right foot. All CTC men are encouraged to attend our 7 AM Shacharis during the week. It is a wonderful way to begin your Torah day.

Weeknight Torah Study
Starting this evening at 7:30 PM, the SEED participants will be learning with all those who made arrangements to study with them. You know who you are. If you don’t know who you are, or would like to drop in and learn one-on-one with one of our teachers, sit in on an existing study group, or just casually look around the shul, please join us this evening, and every weekday evening at 7:30 PM in the shul.

Mincha / Maariv (Evening Services)
At 8:25 PM tonight we will be davening Mincha / Maariv, and all are encouraged to attend this as well. It is the goal to continue both the Shacharis and Mincha / Maariv minyanim (please check website for Mincha / Maariv times as they change each week) after the SEED boys leave. The boys who are here with us for these two weeks are just planting seeds! Only we can make CTC grow and blossom into a Eitz Chaim–a Tree of Life.

CTC Shul Construction
Finally, a big yasher koach to Shalom Abrams who orchestrated the beautiful construction to the back wall of the shul. It is now opened up wide to create a new women’s section, and an expanded men’s section. Special thanks to Haim Gamliel who did the work. Oh, by the way, if you haven’t signed up for the Sunday afternoon BBQ yet, please do so. Just scroll down a few posts on the homepage until you see the registration button for the BBQ, and sign up online.

I look forward to greeting everyone in shul this Shabbos.

Warmest regards,
Rabbi Yaakov Rich
