Chanukah is almost here—can you feel the glow already? Congregation Toras Chaim is kicking things off with a warm, lively, totally family-friendly Chanukah get-together on Sunday, December 14, from 4–5 PM at the shul, 7103 Mumford Ct., Dallas 75252, and you’re invited to bring the whole crew: men, women, toddlers, teens, and everyone in between. No charge!
Think of it as the perfect pre-Chanukah warm-up: all the fun, all the energy, and none of the frying oil cleanup.
Here’s what we’ve got cooking (literally and figuratively):
Chanukah Souvenirs for the Kids – Because nothing says “Chanukah is coming!” like that sparkle in a child’s eyes when they get a special surprise.
Pizza Party – Delicious, easy, and essential.
Sufganiot – Powdered sugar, jelly, and the annual reminder to not wear dark clothing.
Storytime for the Little Ones – Gather the kids close for a Chanukah tale that lights up their imagination.
Dvar Torah for the Adults – A few minutes of inspiration to match the warmth of the candles.
Crafts for All Children – Bring your creativity; leave with something fridge-worthy.
And that’s just the first hour!
Right after the fun, we’ll join together for Mincha, followed by the lighting of the very first Chanukah candle—a moment that never gets old, no matter how many years we’ve watched that first flame dance. We’ll wrap up with Maariv, and then everyone will head home to light their own menorahs, filling the whole city with a little extra Toras Chaim glow.
So come celebrate, snack, learn, craft, and light up the start of Chanukah with your CTC family.
We can’t wait to see you there!
