Okay the results of Tuesday night’s gold party are in. Over 20 people participated. Officially, shul members walked away with almost $7,500 in cash. Two people received over $1,000 for their gold, with one getting $1,500. A couple of people received $900+ with several getting $500+. The average was $468 per person. Everyone walked out smiling. One member actually checked what he could get from another Dallas retail outlet where gold is purchased, and almost fell off his chair when he saw how much more he was going to get at the CTC Gold Party. The shul netted almost $1,200 in commissions. Not bad for a nights work and a week of advertising on our website.
One sad note, however. Not everyone took advantage of this great opportunity.
So. . .I spoke to our Gold Party representative and he has agreed to come back for a Make-Up Night, Tuesday, October 27 at 7:30 PM in the shul. No party. Just bare bones. Just come and sell gold. Bring a friend. Bring two friends. This way, those people who couldn’t attend last Tuesday night can still make money by selling gold next week. And, those who only sold a token amount last Tuesday can return for a second trip and make even more.

This is definitely one of the most creative and attractive shul fundraisers I have ever attended (or even heard of). I sold an old high-school ring that I have never worn and a few other odds and ends that we had laying about and was really surprise to make a few hundred dollars! This event really delivered way more than I expected. Everyone should come to the next one and give it a shot!
