Dear Friends,
I was approached by a representative of the renowned organization Kupat Ha’ir to act as a liaison between our Shul and this tzedakah fund. Kupat Ha’ir does not need my approval, nor my introduction – but let me tell you what prompted me to accept this position. As we all know – this fund is exceptional in that it acts as an extension of the arms of the Gedolai Hador, the leading Sages in Israel. It is the Gedolim, our Sages, who sit on the board of trustees, and it is they who sign the checks. Every penny that is distributed is under their directive and every recipient is scrutinized to the last letter of the law. The integrity of those running this operation has been the marvel of none other than Harav Chaim Kanievskyשליט’â€˜× , Harav Aaron Leib Steinman שליט”×, Harav Shmuel Wosner שליט”× and Harav Michel Yehuda Lefkowitz שליט”×.
Let me tell you about my involvement. I will be the representative in our shul to whom you can bring your donation for Kupat Ha’ir along with your requests. When I receive any sort of request- I will bli neder immediately forward it to gabbai of Kupat Ha’ir so they can present it to the Gedolim with the special attention it deserves.
May it be the will of Hashem that our requests only be for good things, and in the merit of our Tzedakah and the Brachos of the Gedolim may no harm befall us.
