As stated previously, tznius is deeply etched into the soul of a Jewish Woman, and is constantly waiting to be reawakened. The sooner and the more absolutely the woman or girl removes bad influences — including fahion magazines and similar distinctly non-Jewish literature from her home — the more speedily the natural feeling for tznius will return to her. With the removal of the negative influence and non-Jewish ideas of dress, her own innate feeling for purity will surface and be revived to the extent that she will gladly and naturally dress and adorn herself in a noble, tasteful and refined manner.
Just as a first step in restoring a sick person to good health is to ensure that they reside where the air and water are pure, since otherwise they are being continuously contaminated, so too, restoring one’s mind and spirit back to “good health” requires that they should not be persistently infected and sullied by the negative import of fashion magazines and the like, which stand for everything that tznius utterly disapproves of and holds in contempt.
