Rosh Hashana: A Celebration of Our Potential

Congregation Toras Chaim is very pleased to announce that Rabbi Label Lam of Monsey, NY will present a series of engaging and meaningful talks in anticipation of Rosh Hashana, Friday, September 19 — Sunday, September 21, 2008. Members and non-members alike are invited to attend what promises to be a very inspirational two days of Torah study that will help each an every one of us reach our true potential.
All CTC members and friends are invited to come to all lectures. Please note: a registration fee does apply to some speeches.
Itinerary includes:
- 7:00 PM — Friday night services / Dinner in shul / Keynote speech: The Hidden World in Which We Live ($50 Registration Fee)
- 7:08 PM — Candlelighting (Those attending the dinner/speech should light in shul. Tea lights will be provided. Please light only two per household.)
- 11:30 AM — Shabbos morning after kiddush: The Art of Finding the Good
- 5:20 PM — Shabbos afternoon (one hour before mincha):Â The Mystical Message of the Shofar
- 6:20 PM — Mincha / Shalosh Seudos: The Art of Listening
- 8:09 PM — Shabbos Ends
- 12:15 AM –Â Saturday Night (one hour before selichos): The Secret of Akeidas Yitzchok (Binding of Isaac)
- 1:15 AM — Selichos
- 9:00 AM — Sunday morning breakfast: The Power of the Parable ($10 Registration Fee)
