Bagels & Beraisos: Sunday Morning Torah Study for Men

Bagel: A Yiddush word for food traditionally eaten during Sunday morning Torah Study.
Beraisa: A tradition in the Jewish oral law not incorporated in the Mishnah . . . authored by Sages of the Mishna. Traditionally learned while eating bagels.

Join us for breakfast and learning as we dive into the richness of our Torah traditions. Men will learn b’chavrusa (with a partner) in order to achieve the maximum benefit and enjoyment from learning the material with only the gentle guidance of a teacher.

For the next couple of weeks we will be focused on topics pertaining to the Pesach seder. Handouts will be provided. We will start from the source, the Torah itself, then see the mishnah, gemara, and commentaries until the final halacha is elucidated. Suitable for all levels of Torah learning, from beginner to advanced.

  • Cost: Free (but sponsoring the breakfast for only $25/week is available and encouraged)
