CTC High Holiday Tickets for 2013/5774

Dear Toras Chaim Family,

As the year draws to a close, we enter a season devoted to introspection, retrospection, and turning our eyes toward the future year and all the potential that it holds. This past year has been a time of incredible change and growth for our shul. We have more shiurim and learning opportunities than ever and our minyanim are going strong! We have been able to purchase our own building, and moved in as of last Sunday, August 4. Most important of all, though, is that we have merited so many new friends and members whose participation in our congregation is welcome with truly heartfelt gratitude. With this in mind we are proud to announce that davening will take place in our own facility this year at 7103 Mumford Ct., Dallas, TX 75252, for Rosh Hashana, Thursday, September 5 and Friday, September 6, and for Yom HaKippurim, Shabbos, September 14.

Child Care
Shuli Bloomenstiel and other community women will be running a very structured child care program, with lunch, games, davening, stories, and much more. Although only toilet-trained children can be left in our care, all mothers with babies and toddlers are welcome to join us at any point and for as long as they would like. It will take place in the Rich home, 7119 Bremerton Ct. between the hours of 10 AM-1 PM. Deadline for sign up is extended through Monday, September 2, 2013. Women who would like to volunteer to help out are welcome to bring all their children, including babies and toddlers . . . the more the merrier. Please call Shuli at (903) 267-5519 to volunteer or if you have any questions. If your child has special medical issues or allergies, please let us know. Cost is $10/per child/day with payment of at least one seat.

Childcare is $10/per child/day with payment of at least one seat. If you are unclear if your membership is in good standing, please contact me (Rabbi Avraham Chaim Bloomenstiel). You may pay by check or through our CTC website donor portal.

  2. What if I cannot afford those prices? The CTC board wants to make paying for your holiday tickets as easy as possible for you. While we will not be able to discount prices, we certainly would be happy to allow you to pay off your ticket(s) in installments. You can either give us post-dated checks to cover the price, or set up a monthly donation on the CTC website donor portal. I’d be happy to help you make these arrangements.
  3. What is the deadline to buy tickets? Technically, the deadline is Wednesday, September 4, the day before Rosh Hashana. However, it is always best to purchase your tickets as early as possible to take advantage of early bird pricing. Ticket sales are already open.
  4. What if I’m only coming to Rosh Hashana but not Yom Kippur, or vice versa? May I purchase a seat for one, and not the other? To be guaranteed of a seat you need to buy a ticket for the entire holiday period. We apologize, but we cannot sell seats for only Rosh Hashana or Yom Kippur.
  5. Who are the chazzanim this year? For High Holidays this year we are thrilled to welcome back Mark Gothelf (Monsey, NY) who will be leading mussaf, and Rabbi Avraham Bloomenstiel (that’s me) who will be leading shacharis.
  6. Is there childcare this year? We will have supervised childcare led by Shuli Bloomenstiel and other community women, and it will take place in the Rich home, 7119 Bremerton Ct. between the hours of 10 AM-1 PM.

If there is anything I did not cover please contact me by telephone at 903-828-7343, or by email at [email protected]

On behalf of the CTC Executive and Advisory Boards, our wish is for everyone to be written and sealed for a happy, healthy, sweet new year, filled with continued growth in all areas of your relationship with Hashem.
